Worum geht es?

Die Instandsetzung und der weitere Umbau der Villa zum kulturellen Treffpunkt (Austellungen / Veranstaltungen / Frei lufttheater & kino) nimmt eine Schlüsselstellung im Projekt ein. Die späteren Anbauten an der um die Jahrhundertwende gebauten Villa werden dabei so umgestaltet, dass sie auch als Openair- und Ausstellungsgelände fungieren. Eine entfernbare Abdeckung für den Hauptraum ist geplant worden, um sich gegen schlechtes Wetter zu schützen.

Im Souterrain planen wir ein Café/Bar und Unterkünfte für Künstler, die sich mit "Installation" & "Landart" beschäftigen bzw. Projekte durchführen wollen, die in Verbindung mit dem Biosphärenreservat stehen.

Standort auf dem Projektgelände:

• Die Villa hat die zentrale Position auf dem Gelände. Sie grenzt an die früheren Wohnblocks, in welchen in Zukunft die Ateliers eingerichtet werden.

What is it?

Transformation and partial restoration of the Villa into a cultural meeting point is a key part of the project: Radical remodelling of the existing buildings will form open air exhibition, events, and performance/theatre environments. These spaces will be unique in themselves and are designed to be both aesthetic and contemplative. Reflection on nature and the built environment is a key part of the design concept and experiencing the villa as an object in itself will be a fulfilling experience. On a more practical level, a removable cover for the main space has been planned to cope with bad weather.

In the Souterrain we are planning a contemporary Café/Bar and accommodation for artists working for example in 'Installation' or  ‘Land Art’ (‘Ecological’ art work) and other work responding to the Biosphere.

Location on site:

• The Villa is in a central position on site adjacent to a former Accommodation Block which will become studios in the future.
